The worst plot I ever seen.
blueoneyes20 November 2022
The worst plot I ever seen. Very silly and nonsense scenario. Romans are showed like they are the most stupid people in their era but they were the best on their time.

It's disappointing. Despite the movie have a big potential they fail to do it simple and in a right manner.

You can skip watching this episode because is the most worst episode a ever seen.

Don't waste your time like I did.

Hope that Netflix it wuould become better and hope they will hear on users complains.

In my contry the netflix is the most expensive for streaming tv shows.

In my opinion they don't deserve extra pay for such misery.

Poor writing
chriskurt13 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It's just stupid. The first season was good. This second it's getting worse episode by episode. A lot of potential threw it away with a stupid plot. The easiest escape from a cell you'll ever see. Forced moments when you say wtf... these netflix new era writing that doesn't give anything to the show and i don't only mean the forced inclusion but the stupid thing like bringing a son out of nowhere, the father that wants to make it right, the easy comes and goes from prisoners, the romans npc, etc. In one scene they say "you can't go far from here" 1 minute later they walk around all the camp (2 girls in barbarians clothes full dayloght) , kill guards, tied some, took a horse, go out and no one saw them. And you can put sll of that but write a good script. Stop ruin everything with potencial. Netflix it's the most expensive and with the worst culture of telling own stories. I will end my suspcription soon.

Another Identity politics spoon-feeding
paradoxeproductions7 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Oh look, another Austrian TV show that just has to spoon-feed a fmnst and LGBT narrative.

I'm no critic, I'm an actor and filmmaker- This being said, I'm going to rant here more than anything else because this is my industry and it's in the dark ages.

Basically, I've seen the same pattern in "Das Boot", "Freud", and now in "Barbaren"- These otherwise fantastic shows are becoming real propaganda vehicles; It's like a great song, the beat is seductive and hard not to enjoy but the lyrics fill your head with some real bad sht.

SPOILER ALERT

-The main female character saves the male one in distress.

-Two central characters are shown to be gay.

-A blk female character was placed as a token in the show.

How many times does one think this pattern can be repeated? What a shame.

Predictable

Everything turned into modern day political nonsense. Anyone could of seen this coming a mile away. Major historical characters turned into alphabet people. Complete waste of a good tv show. Episode 2 is where I tap out. I refuse to waste anymore of my time on this. It's offensive to be constantly subjected to this nonsense.
