Gods and Monsterss is Risha Gorigs best work yet!
scott-401198 August 2021
Risha Gorig's most recent work, Gods and Monsterss is a stunning tour de force. Your instantly compelled and drawn into her vision of a Dystopian and upside down world that is neither good nor bad, and yet seems a glow with confusion and hope.

Risha has truly taken her Cinematic talent to a new level, with stunning cinematic shots and moving and real dialogue that makes the tale so moving and completely transports you.

I have been a long time fan of Risha's work, and this is by far her best work yet,BRAVO!

Awesome Indie Sci-Fi Fantasy Thriller!
landtycoon6 August 2021
Gods and Monsterss by Risha Gorig is sci-fi, fantasy thriller that is sure to be an instant cult classic, in the same vein as other cult classics such as Eraserhead and Repoman.

Gods and Monsterss is a riveting film that keeps you on the edge of your seat and engaged from start to finish, and with multiple story lines, it makes you think about the characters, the plot twists, and the what-ifs, long after you've finish seeing it. It's a film that must be experienced more than once to satisfy the viewer's curiosities, and connect the intertwining dots, as one reflects back to creator, director and artist, Risha's Gorig's thought process, and fate for the characters, and ultimately the World, as the stories get laid out before you.

The central plot and theme of Gods and Monsterss revolves around how everyone's individual, every day, decisions can significantly change not only one's own future and circumstances, but combined as humanity, can significantly change the ultimate outcome of the World. As the movie follows multiple characters through days, and years of their lives, it plays as microcosms of the World, and begs the question of "what-if" there are higher beings and powers influencing our decisions, and whether it is for good, or evil, and are they, good or evil, and how will it ultimately affect the fate of the World.

Gods and Monsterss is a must see - and more than once, as Risha Gorig has clearly created what is sure to be a timeless cult classic.

A must see an unusal film of angels who come to earth to watch over us touch us mock us but go unnoticed to the warnings. They try to make. Beautifully filmed poetic and sublime the movie follows several characters torn alone and abused. The angels/spirits/demons are there everywhere.

Exquisite & surreal film contrast the gritty tortured souls featured in this genius thought provoking film. You experience the highs and low's of everyday life as it transcends you almost into a third dimensional universe. A roller coaster if you will, never a dull moment with unexpected twists and turns. Loved every second of it!

A beautiful, powerful film
vandergorig9 August 2021
G-ds and Monsters is a powerful and hauntingly beautiful film by artist Risha Gorig, wherein she explores philosophical ideas on destiny/fate and the meaning of life.

The film soars above the hive of NYC and visits several characters at different moments in their life. We see/hear the beauty and tragedy in the characters, as well as our own, lives while spirits play/haunt/protect and torment us.

This searingly beautiful film is a must see.

It enters your consciousness and stays with you.

Completely original and engrossing

They surround us, walking with us and illuminating the path, warning, mocking or perhaps lifting us in ethereal arms that enshroud with loving kindness, the unforgettable angels/ghosts/demons inhabiting "Gods & Monsterss," the latest film from Risha Gorig (filmmaker, artist and dancer). Every frame delivers -- arresting, enveloping and unvarnished images following the life struggles of seven main characters as they interact with each other and forces that may exist on a plane just beyond human perception. The specters watch over, unseen, all our failures to rise above ritualized violence and self-absorbed frenzy in a world full of conflicting energies and impulses.

Every form of art humanity can express is on bold, exotic, dream-inspired display in this film; from thr bright, brutal stanzas that serve in voiceover throughout this cinematic poem to the obsessed dance of the ballerina at the barre and the insistent heartbeat of a mournful sax in bebop counterpoint to an angry youth erupting senselessly. Breathtaking aerial footage plays slyly alongside a baby being fawned over in its crib, while the celestial is depicted just as realistically as the highways, overpasses, whiskey bars and S&M dungeons of our choosing and creation -- honestly and with conviction. A spirit soothes an old woman as she passes, a young woman eventually winds up homeless -- truth along the spectrum of lif as it is and possibly can be animates and propels the story.

"Gods & Monsterss" challenges us to see how much we are of both things the title suggests. Facing up to it is the gauntlet this original, provocative, disturbingly lyrical and profoundly poetic film full of dance, music and grace throws down. Pick it up, if you can and hold on as long as you are able.
