- Jon Arbuckle's small twin nieces often call Garfield "Kitty Cat" (referring to a feline), which can be heard as a slang term for a female's genitalia.
- In one episode Garfield calls Jon a Cad, a term for someone who "doesn't cut it as a gentleman" and is an insult that is generally sexual in origin. In another episode, Garfield calls Nermal a "wiener head" which is of course comparing the cats head to male genitalia which is more commonly known as a penis. To make this insult even more offensive, Nermal's head does bear striking resemblance to said genitalia.
