Humbled and brought to a depth of humanity that heals...

So much goes on in one episode... my very personal experience of this episode opened my heart once again to Jesus's unfathomable compassion with a deep feeling of peace ... a feeling of everlasting Love! Through awesome acting, both brothers led us to understand some of the epic conflicts that haunted the people before the coming of Christ. Putting up with aggressive oppression and not being able to intervene for the good.....or crippled for life and abandoned by your own kin and left alone to defend yourself both physically and mentally : so hard to imagine. In this episode, Dennis (portraying Jesse) captured my heart and my soul. Jesus came and freed this man (and his brother) from a life of suffering. I can soooooooo relate. God bless.

admirable

After a very / too long expectation, an episode with value of gem. First, because the intro represents more than well crafted premises; it is itself an episode for precise nuances, for the rich details and emotions , for melancholic ( to deep sad ) air. And , sure, the story continue. Using small explanations and beautiful music, transforming a healing case in useful parable about viewer, offering new way to understand familiar things, creating a large image of a man, his brother, Zealots and Phariseas. . The fair manner, offering the expected aura of events and the clear meanings, in new light, of familiar facts are the basic motif to see it and to feel it so close.

If you can get over the modern day fist bump

Warning: Spoilers
I found it hard to get into this episode when I saw the modern day fist bumping session with the teenagers. There could have been a better way of representing friendship.

It was a great back story with a meaningful message showing despair, but more back story than biblical fact. It felt more like a soap opera.

Stay with this episode, as it does get better, and I am grateful for the series and its message.

Most of actors are well chosen, but I do have problems believing those that American accents, as it tends to bring you out of the atmosphere of the story telling and back into the 21st century.

I couldn't even finish this worst episode of the show

My overall rating of "The chosen"'s Season 2: 4/10.

This episode is poorly done and ridiculous and makes zero sense. Atticus is supposed to be a badass character, but his constant insistence on in-person observation and constant eating make him a joke (and his incredibly inattentive opponents, the Zealots, even bigger jokes, even as their order is quite interesting). The Roman soldiers observing Atticus debate which modern title for law enforcement fits him better. Jesse's origin story is badly-filmed and stupid, and so is his time at Bethesda - wouldn't he be able to just lie on the nearest step to beat everybody to the pool?.. And it sure is convenient that Simon the Zealot wrote such a specific clause about the Messiah! The humour also sucks.
