Danielle has been killing it this season, and has put in some great performances playing both Caitlin and Frost, and this episode is no exception.

Not enough but up to something now

Warning: Spoilers
Undoubtedly the Speed Force behaviour is quite suspicious, in it's ways and how it wants to stick around Flash for literally every time. No doubt that it's using Flash more than Flash is dependent on it.
This episode did give enough clarity for that. Now Flash is against something that wears his mother's face and easily be sentimental.
On other side, we are not gonna have a side support from Killer Frost? Come on.

Best episode of the season so far

This ep was both emotional and suspenful. Took me back to S1 when I really liked and cared about this show. Barry for once seemed like the Barry that I had been missing that I hadn't seen for years. For that I was grateful xD. Frost proved how much she's matured over the years/become a hero in her own right & I heart the bond she has with Caitlin just awww. Also the reveal of the season villain was kinda shocking although it could still be seen coming. What comes next?
Emotional episode but we need an AMAZING EPISODE
juliansenechal5 May 2021
So this episode is pretty great very emotiolly and sometimes tenses, Kaitlin and frost are good, but this episode is not Amazing like in the past, we need an amazing episode with a big fight, or death or revelations, and the music of this episode is so dawm good.
One of the best of this season so far

Warning: Spoilers
It's official. Arrow is still the only Arrowverse show that has done a good court episode. Not to slam this episode, but The Flash is 0 for 2 in terms of episodes in court. At least this one was better than "The Trial of The Flash", which is all I asked for. I was dreading the court episode this season because of how much of a train wreck it was last time. It was still a train wreck, don't get me wrong, but it was better than the last time they tried it.
Sara Garcia wasn't bad as Alexa Rivera. She was portrayed as a scared young adult, and Sara did that well. Shame her character died though. We didn't know her very well, but it's still a sad moment. The Speed Force being the main antagonist of the season is a new direction to go in, and Michelle Harrison has a weirdly menacing aura when she wants to have it. Her back and forth with Grant Gustin is pretty good, and I'm interested in seeing what her motivation is. If it's just survival or fear, fine, but there could be something deeper and more menacing behind that. Eric Wallace promised us speedster lore in this season, so I'm looking forward to finding a lot more of it.
Kristen Kramer took a turn for the worse in this episode, I feel. Her anger at Frost was played up quite a bit, but her rationale wasn't unjustified. She crossed a line, certainly, and I'm glad that the episode acknowledged that, especially having that line come from Joe as he shows Kramer the door. I can understand her reasoning, but that doesn't make what she's doing right. She's trying to play judge, jury and executioner all at once. I was never annoyed by this character, but I was also never the hugest fan of her. She just seemed played up a bit during this episode, and it was unfortunate to see that.
Onto the court scenes themselves, they weren't perfect. I'm not a legal expert, and my courtroom knowledge is very limited based on a small amount of research, but Frost's trial seemed like a complete farce from almost minute 1. That scene where everyone was riled up after the CCPD's stash of meta cures were destroyed didn't seem like it would be allowed in a courtroom. Frost would never be allowed a statement like she had before the judge made her decision though. Opening statements seemed realistic based on the limited knowledge I have, and though the episode mostly focused on the personal stakes of Frost and Caitlin's relationship, they do dare to ask the question of whether it's moral for metahumans to be stripped of their powers. Those are the kinds of questions that should be asked on a show like this, especially with Eric Wallace at the helm. Though they were interesting and eyebrow raising, the scenes in court were still not great. But hey, at least there's no evidence that would, on a well written show, get the case dropped before it even went to trial like with DeVoe's wheelchair in season 4. I'm glad the writers at least ignored making that mistake twice.
Also, Danielle Panabaker was overacting this week for sure. It wasn't enough to be unrealistic, but it was enough to take me out of the episode a few times. I'm sure it's just a fluke though. Things should go back to normal next week.
This episode wasn't bad. There were some good elements, but they were overshadowed by some bad ones as well. If I had to make a direct statement on what I thought about this episode, I feel the same way about it that I feel about this season as a whole. It is average. It is so incredibly average that it is almost mind-numbing to sit through. Not to say that I got nothing out of this episode, because that would be a lie. It was enjoyable, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I wouldn't say that this was the worst episode of the show. Far from it, in fact. However, I do genuinely feel that this is the most average episode of The Flash ever aired. There was almost no action this week, the side characters and plots were all over the place, the courtroom setting was just okay enough to be better than the last time they tried it... I can't really say anything overly amazing about the episode. It is average.
A pro to it being average though, at least it's better than Black Lightning this year. I swear, the Black Lightning writers are proving the season 4 curse right lol

The People V. Killer Frost, is Season 1 and Season 2 episode Quality
spawnofsassy6 May 2021
Okay that headline may be a bit bold of a statement to make but this is honestly how I feel about this episode. I think this is best episode of The Flash in a while. The episode focuses on themes of morals, ethics and justice which I think helped the episode greatly as it felt like the themes that the show focused on for the earlier seasons . I also think that even though this episode may be more of a Killer Frost focused episode, the episode still had plenty of great Barry Allen/ Flash moments that I think it did not bother me at all but I could see how I that could bother some people but I think the best part of the episode is the shocking ending that I think will surprise anyone. This episode was a step in the right direction for The Flash and I am hoping that the following episodes are just as good as this one.
[7.2] The three stars

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 8: A very good episode on its own terms with many instructive materials, in the court room, in the lab and between people and friends interactions.
The star of the episode are again Killer Frost, her sister Caitlin and the shiny and humble Danielle Panabaker.

Warning: Spoilers
Frost's trial was very good and Caitlin's characterization was great and I really felt that Caitlin is a real character and not just in the series and finally the villain of the story has a good purpose and just does not want to destroy the world
And a lot of emotional ending and hype for the next episode
Plus
Nice ending for Frost (hopefully she back one day)
AWFUL

I'll explain why this series sucks in 5 items.
1-The story has no focus, everything is mixed 2-Curiosity element 0 3. The characters are so boring 4-The name of the directory is flash but flash does not run at all.
5-PLEASE EXCHANGE SCENARISTS.

This really gave me season 1 vibes. Actually, this feels like watching the last few episodes of season 1 which a great by the way.

Actually, this feels like watching the last few episodes of season 1 which a great by the way. The acting in this in certain scenes can be better, but the acting of the main cast is phenomenal or at least fantastic in my opinion. The show is getting better. Don't lose hope!

Warning: Spoilers
There were many things that bothered me about this episode, but what bothered me the most was, that Barry was not involved even once in this whole Killer Frost storyline. For me it makes no sense to not involve Barry there.
But after all it was very strange and very absurd episode. Like who tf wrote this bs?? Must be some 12 year old uncreative student or something like that. All way to predictable and this whole storyline was just way to absurd. And wft is going on with the speedforce??
Always when you think that the show must have hit rock bottom now, they surprise you with an even worse episode.

Average emotional stuff with Killer Frost but the ending is SHOCKING!

Killer frost gets a life sentence without parole so I guess she's done with the show and a bunch of normal stuff and drama with Barry and the speed force but they found the girl who is actually Fuerza. And at the end the speed force KILLS her!! It a shocking twist but a little expected but still I loved it and I can't wait until next weeks episode.
This episode was so bad it triggered my anxiety

Warning: Spoilers
I dont know what's happening but this episode is the epitome of what's wrong with The Flash. The four stars are for Danielle's and the other actor's performances but even the greatest actor/actress can't save an absolutely dumb script and plot.
Killer Frost has to go to trial. Meh, no stakes there, we know she's gonna be fine. Oh, she's supposed to take the meta human cure. Oh yes, let's talk about cures and diseases like we're not all sick of hearing these words.
The whole thing made zero sense??? And lifetime without parole even though she never killed anyone??
I'm not gonna go into detail about the Speed Force,I have no clue what's happening here??! Also made zero sense and was absolutely stupid. They ruined not only the Speed Force but Nora as well by using her face. 😑

A Fairly Good Episode

Warning: Spoilers
Like my title says, the episode is fairly good.
The trial of Frost is done quite well, although I do feel the amount of talks between Caitlin and Frost were a bit excessive. (Also giving Norvak a greater role in the episode would have been cool too.)
The episode sets up the beginning of the end of the force quest arc and the ending is good as well. Excited for the next episode.
