Where's Josh Segarra?
planetpakua12 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I know Maggie Bell broke up with Special Agent Nestor Vertiz (Josh Segarra) but there was no mention of why he left his job or where he went.

I hate these plot holes when characters just disappear without ay explanation.

This show is getting way too political and the actual crime takes a back seat to that. I hope future episodes dial back on the politics and equality issues.

This is one of my favourite shows and I like all the main characters especially Omar & Jubal. Stuart is pretty cool as well.

Good to see James Chen (Ian Lim) having more prominence, he was underused in The Walking Dead.

Why she left....
JasonSterling293 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I believe that Ebonee Noel left 'FBI' because she was conflicted between playing an FBI agent and being a Black woman. This episode highlighted the struggle of black people specifically African Americans(not black immigrants or 2nd Gen black immigrants) in law enforcement. I applaud her for standing up for what she believes in.

You can view the FBI as the good guys depending on the side you stand on. It always comes down to what has been done to your people. It can be a matter of race or community. The Irish who were seen as the bad guys in this episode can relate to mistreatment.

Overall I like how the episode was written. What bothers me though are the people who watch a left-leaning show and then complain about the message.

I watch shows on fox and never felt I had to complain about their message.

Great Episode But ...
jhacealston3 March 2021
This was a good episode. Nice balance between racial tensions and an identity crisis. There's this negative correlation with police and black people, so when a black person is a member of the police or government organization they're looked down upon. I think Tiffany played this role well. However, when they arrive to the vigil, Tiffany instructs the team to remove their vests to blend in. This isn't something that would happen since the suspect was considered armed and dangerous. Great episode with a nice premise, but there's some technical issues.

P.S: Incoming close minded reviewers

Really bad
ptp13153 March 2021
The new character that replaced a season regular was a huge mistake. The two stars of the show took a back seat to bit actress. I think they tried to make a point and failed.

One of the many faces of domestic terrorism
lornagwater5 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I don't understand previous reviewers' problem with recent story lines featuring white supremacy. According to new CSIS data, "white supremacists and other like-minded extremists conducted two-thirds of the terrorist plots and attacks in the United States in 2020," including hate crimes - a federal offense. As for individual performances, I enjoy almost all of them but remain mystified by the continuing allegiance to Alana de la Garza. She's very pretty, but surely there are other very pretty actresses who can, you know, act.

Agent Wallace Whines
Johnny_West8 March 2021
Ebonee Noel was the FBI agent that Katherine Renee Turner replaced. Ebonee Noel was always trying to be a better FBI agent, and even got shot because of her efforts to exceed expectations.

By contrast, Katherine Renee Turner plays agent Tiffany Wallace, and every word out of her mouth is a complaint about the United States, the FBI, the U.S. Government, Police, Law Enforcement, and society in general. Agent Wallace is a never-ending fountain of whining and hatred of everything, primarily her own job and the FBI agency that she works for.

FBI agent John Boyd, who is on the show as an apologist for white people, is always trying to give agent Wallace excuses for white people. He wants to let her know he has her back, and that not all Anglos are evil. Wallace tears him down almost every time Boyd says something, and treats him like a total loser. The dynamics of these co-workers is very unhealthy.

Somewhat unrealistic
bodybydeb3 November 2022
These reviews reflect why these episodes are important. But, the point is missed, I'm afraid. And, it's systemic, not systematic. Even though that applies also. People are so used to it that they don't even realize how bad it is. The arrogance and insensitivity is astounding. I do prefer Ebonee Noel's character, but her character did not have to deal with the same storylines. No one wants to acknowledge the elephant in the room. It would be difficult, as a woman or a person of color to work in this environment with the disparities in the treatment of people. It is amazing that the people in these reviews have to audacity to wonder why someone would not consider it to be difficult. And have the nerve to say they are tired of it. Buckle up, buttercups. The vest removal was unrealistic, though.

Really CBS Paramount?
blueoysterdvp4 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It's too bad the writing was so uneven during this episode. CBS meant well but failed. A 55 year old "out of shape" looking female was throwing bricks through windows then sprinted away undetected? Made kill shots to the head with a pistol on the first shot? ? Wow...

All Believability Left Behind
spikeluvr3 March 2021
Tv show plot developments often strain credulity. It's sometimes necessary to make things more dramatic or suspenseful. This episode, like so many others this season, has made some terrible script choices trying to up the drama. Except they aren't more dramatic, they're just stupid. No FBI agent would ever take off their bullet proof vest when looking for an active shooter when all they had to do to "blend in" is turn their jacket inside out and zipper it up or put on a regular coat over their vest. I'm getting tired of using my mute and fast forward button so much this season.

Boring!
Just-A-Girl-1427 June 2021
I'm really tired of watching this political crap over and over again. It's the same exact story. Other than the fact that if I want politics I watch the news, it's just getting so boring. How many times do we have to watch the same thing over and over again?! One might think there are no other crimes in American. It's all racial and hate crimes. I seriously don't get it. The way I see it, Hollywood should entertain and bring people together. This crap is overbearing and it's getting old real fast. If the writers can't come up with new interesting stories then at least bring more sympathetic characters. How many times are we supposed to see the activities who hate the police and the white supremacy crap and the cops who battle their own morality in these 'difficult times'. Enough, we get it. We've seen it a million times. It's like the writers in Hollywood just recycle the same story over and over again. No creativity what so ever!! This is why I'm rating it 1/10. It's not that the episode itself was bad but I've seen it a million times before and I'm sick of it. Forget politics, it's just plain BORING!

Political
denise-dargan3319 May 2021
Getting too political for me. Blaming cops for everything not the people who are committing the crimes.

So once again it's White People murdering minorities in NYC
edlord8 March 2021
This series has become a farce. It bears no resemblance to what has happened in NYC on a daily basis since the looting and rioting of the Summer 2020. Where are these "white supremacists" gunning down minorities in the streets. It's a CBS political campaign to blame anybody but the perpetrators of actual crime. Enough is enough.

WOKE.B.I.
bardattack12 March 2021
I've missed the past few episodes, and after watching this one, I am reminded why. This was bad. This new character, Agent Tiffany Wallace, can't have any type of conversation without pointing out systematic racism - every dialogue she's part of! The writers must not have been paying attention because Agent Wallace spent the entire hour calling out Homeland Security for keeping tabs and notes on black activists, which was another example of systematic racism leading her to becoming the angry woman she is today, BUT it seems Agent Wallace relied on Homeland Security's tabs and notes on white activists to nab their suspect. Hmmmm. These woke writers should get their resumes ready because this kind of writing doesn't have much of a future. The trend will end.

Houston, we have a problem!
CrimeDrama122 July 2022
Has anyone else noticed how every other show and movie depicts FBI agents? Professional and by the book. CBS can't seem to develop characters without creating unnecessary conflict within them, whether it is race, religion or something else. How about the agents do their job and leave everything else at home? The cases they handle may have issues they can relate with but if it clouds their judgement they shouldn't be in law enforcement! Shows like, "Law & Order" and "Bull" had to look at politics and society because at least half of each show involved the courts but leave that out of law enforcement!

Getting old really fast!
neverenoughgold4 March 2021
I'm sorry, but I'm really getting tired of the same old story line. Time to find new writers who can create an interesting story without writing based on what they saw in last night's news! Our country needs uplifting stories now more than ever! There are many people of color who every day do good things for everyone. Why aren't we seeing stories about these folks? Oh I know, because they are the exception and their stories don't sell products to American consumers?

I'll stick with Netflix
mathomas-280536 March 2021
The police procedurals from Sweden, Italy, Finland, Australia, England, even Luxembourg, on Netflix, are so much better than this. They can at least think outside the "American box."
