A heart touching story of a musician who works hard to bring up his son

This is a real heart touching story of a Shehnai musician,who falls in love with a dancer,Basanti.But unfortunately she dies in a very early age leaving a small baby to look after for Appanna.He also sacrifices his happiness and sends his son to study,even after his son keeps asking for money,though Appanna was poor he decides to play Shehnai for long long time and takes more programs and was sending how much ever his son asks,he indeed falls very sick and then also he plays and plays and plays Shehnai..after growing up his son does not give any satisfaction,what he gets in reply for that hard work should be seen on screen...Dr.Rajkumar as usually has performed very well,Balakrishna and Ashok's performance is also very good,we can see Puneeth Rajkumar's first screen appearance in this movie as a small baby in a song "Naane Thaayi,naane thande".Overall a must watch movie for all Kannadigas.This movie is huge blockbuster and ran for more than one year....Jai Karnataka Maathe...
