Better but not great
nmottel6 January 2022
Episode 6 addressed real grown up issues. Carrie wants to move on but a new apartment may not be the best way. She and Anthony visit a plastic surgeon. Charlotte has to deal with both daughters growing up. Miranda shares her dalliance with Che with Charlotte and a friendship is almost ended. There is still unbelievable woke dialogue and the celebration of Diwali an excuse to have Carrie rushing down her old apartment stairs in an extravagent costume. Episode 6 was better than the previous five episodes but not strong enough to welcome a season 2 of this series.

Appreciation.
Calicodreamin6 January 2022
A good episode, loved each characters journey and the way they handled themselves. I'm enjoying Anthony becoming more of a key character, he brings the laughs that's for sure. The scene with the three women at lunch was perfection. And Carrie, oh man is she fabulous.

Pleasantly surprised

Warning: Spoilers
I appreciated that this episode touched on things I as a viewer had questions about myself. I like that Charlotte confronted Miranda about Che, and that she got angry and Carrie for not speaking up. The emotional depth really came through, and honestly I like Anthony as a supporting character. He brings the light airy spirit that is needed. Best episode so far.

The series reaches a pivotal point
rich-fouts18 January 2022
If this were a play, this would be the end of Act 2, the cliffhanger. The lives of these women are reaching a pivotal point that will change how they see the world from now on (Terrific performance by Cynthia Nixon). It's a shame that Charlotte hasn't evolved much, but I suppose that's real life. People don't change. Charlotte however, is about to make a huge adjustment. And it looks like she's going to step up, so good for her. Overall, a good episode to make the series pivot.

And Just Like That....they're back.
renanthurgood6 January 2022
After 5 so-so episodes it finally feels like the show we know and love. I have no doubt cynthia nixon directing was part of the reason for that.

Funny, heartfelt and the fashion was classic carrie. What a gift it is to have our girls back.

WHERE IS THE STORY?

Whos those women? I'm a big fan of SATC i even liked the movies but THIS is just bad.

Bringing smantha in every each episode by mentioning her like that is not enough and dont make any sense .. I really wanted this to be good but it seems its getting worse and worse.

Carrie is so annoying miranda is Not Miranda anymore Charlotte is a cartoonish copy of herself I know people changing thru years but this is just weak writing in character growth point of view.

Where the creators of this show are taking us as viewers? What they trying to say? I'm so confused and angry!!!!!

Boring
bigstarr-580567 January 2022
Can Carrie be anymore uptight? She needs toned down ad a personality. All the characters lost their personality except for Anthony, people don't lose their personalities. Carrie acts like she's 80...I don't know who Miranda is anymore, they try too hard to act. The previous episodes showed screwed up adults with screwed up kids. Cynthia Nixon is influencing the writers too much and bringing her own personal agendas to the show and it's just not recognizable as SATC. Where's Steve, where's Harry? At least they have a sense of humor. It's still awful writing and awful acting.

Ignore the 1/10 Voters

Don't listen to the people coming in and automatically voting 1 to skew the ratings. This was an excellent episode. I found it the best yet of the series. It was uplifting, funny, touching, and had all the energy of SATC.

There'e always haters, no matter how good the episode really is!
oak_ck14 January 2022
This is the best episode so far since the revived show has been aired. I am a die-hard fan of SATC, this EP brought me back to the 90's once again. The script is not bad at all. I really appreciated watching this and hope they will do more seasons.

PS. For haters, I think it's easier for you to just stop watching if the show hurt you so badly. If this EP still cannot fulfill your expectations and made you give only 1 out of 10.. then stop watching! And please don't demand HBO not to have another season, there are millions of fans who still want to watch more and more. We've waited for this revival for a long long time. Please just ignore the show and let the fans enjoy watching what they love. Thank you!

Who is this disgusting Miranda
feleciaeby17 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Look, if Miranda is questioning/exploring her sexuality, fine. I do, however have a problem with Miranda as a mother continuing to masturbate while talking to her young adult son through the door. It does not seem true to her character or to reality. Most mothers I know would not be able to remain aroused at that point. The character of Miranda took her motherhood really seriously. I found the whole scene to be, well, gross.

I hope every fan can see clearly now
mariolemes6 January 2022
Honestly, I don't know why so many people doesn't like this show. I feel like their evolution as characters is so consistent. Take Miranda as an example: back in SATC it was so cute the first time she met Steve. They had a very real relationship, breaking up and coming back together a few times... when Steve had cancer she was worried even though they weren't together... When Brady was born they joined forces to raise him. Even the moment Miranda proposes to him is realistic but also cute and unexpected at the same time.

That was a happy relationship for quite a while. And that doesn't mean "forever". Every couple who divorces were once a happy relationship as well. As our lives evolves our feelings might change. Until some point that we might almost don't remember what we felt before.

In that sense, I'm simply in love about everything Miranda are becoming now (from the drinking problem to the queerness). I feel like it is all so realistic. I myself have a friend that "became" a lesbian after 40. And even now she knows she spent 4 decades as a happy straight girl. That doesnt change the fact that now she only wants to date women.

I'm saying all that just to use Miranda (who IMO had a special highlight this episode) as an example of how happy I am to see those women evolving, and changing.

So terrible.
marieplett7 January 2022
Horrible jokes. No mention of Steve. No real progress for any of the characters. Slow. Quiet. An annoying beep is the comic relief.

This is one of the most unnecessary episodes ever made.

Smiling - this felt like My SITC
carriecunningham-19 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode didn't make me cringe at all - It feels like my Sex in the City - maybe it's Carrie reclaiming get Carrie necklace & settling back into her old place . I still miss Samantha but that's life . We who are in our 50's have also shed a friend or 2 from our 20s and 30s. But, we go on and occasionally think back on old times .

I wish that an additional season would be considered by Sarah Jessica Parker .

It felt the Cinthya Nixon touch
janda1879 January 2022
A chapter a little more human and real, less superficial than the previous ones. I liked the touch of confusion of the characters, the shock to the ground to Charlotte and Harry regarding the self-appreciation of their daughters and how the issue of crisis sexuality is approached to a reality.

Each one painful in its own way
nytrip9119 January 2022
The last episode was really painful. This one was painful for a whole different reason. How about Sarah Jessica Parker should never slip her hair back. It just makes the fact that she is in a mediocre reboot, just that much more hard to watch. I gave it an extra star just for the fact that there was at least a bit more realism in it. #Faceliftconversation.

Humorless and Dim- An Insult to Intelligent Viewers and Aging
jennyboyd-5575318 January 2022
I LOVE well-written shows about aging, middle age, etc. This is NOT a well-written/acted show:( The bad review have NOTHING to do with Agism (per SJP). The bad reviews are due to a poorly conceived, poorly written, and poorly acted waste of the intelligent viewers time.
