Based purely on the first episode which is clearly a setup for the Rose Byrne character this goes in many dizzying hilarious directions. She's bulimic. She's the jealous type . She's kinda embarrassed of her husband but still loves him apparently. She's aging and thinks her life is going nowhere and this is why she's intrigued by this mysterious younger woman in a white convertible. This leads her to a dance class . Who knows? Maybe her dead end life will change forever. Let's all find out.

Not a Comedy

This was a lot darker than I thought it was going to be ... however, Rose Byrne is EXCELLENT and I love the style, cinematography, and performances all around. The color palette just makes you feel sick, like Sheila feels. A great but dark pilot!
Comedy?

There's nothing funny in this pilot, there's no jokes, it's just not a comedy show. This is probably the worst, the most boring pilot I've seen in 2021 so far. Feels like another filler show that tries to "shock" viewers with occasional nudity, full screen saggy butt shots, tone of swear words - not nobody cares about these things anymore, it's all been done already.
Non stop voice-over is aggravating, just shut up already, enough of that monotone talking.
There's no 80s feeling in this at all, people didn't talk like that in 80s. "should we call LIKE an ambulance" - this all was after. If you don't know what 80s was like and you're too lazy to do any research watch American Horror Story 9th Season season, they managed to capture 80s vibe.
Really feels like a wasted 50 minutes of life (kept pausing because it was that boring and didn't grab any attention at all)
