Open up your heart and let the sunshine in...

Warning: Spoilers
One of the weaker episodes but then, right at the end, when Leland sits Sheryl down for dinner there is this song playing that took me back some 50 years. At first I couldn't place it, but a search on youtube quickly revealed that it was featured on an episode of the Flintstones with Pebbles and BamBam singing in perfect harmony (Just search for "Pebbles sunshine") . Loved it as a kid and still brought a smile to my face today. Thank you "Evil" for reminding of this! Oh, and the devil turns up several times in the lyrics so it all makes sense ;-)

Really bad script

Warning: Spoilers
The writing and stories just get worse each week and this one was bottom of the barrel. The first season on CBS was great and we enjoyed the first few episodes of season 2, but the writing team seems to have run out of ideas. What happened to demons everywhere scaring us? What's with grandmother Sheryl suddenly having a strange doll she has surrounded by candles that she makes sacrifices of dollar bills to? Yes, that's out of the blue and normal. Then bad guy/demon Leland, who unceremoniously dumped her ages ago asks Sheryl if he can have some of her blood, so she proffers her forearm and says go ahead? What? It is ridiculously bad. The only good scene(s) in this episode are with Leland and Goatboy, who isn't old SNL comic Jim Breuer slumming it. One other scene is beyond ridiculous, with our hero, in a small grocery store. An instance happens at the check out register and apparently 2 smartphones from different angles were filming the register for absolutely NO reason. Give us a break! Think of something else like it was security footage and a camera was on the ceiling. Where's the furthering of the main storyline? Possibly the most dense part of the episode involves team member Ben Shakir. He wants to ask a person what they saw in an incident. He contacts the person and arranges to meet them at Syracuse University. Instead of calling the person or doing a facetime or zoom type meeting, he drives from NYC to the school, a one-way drive that's over 4 hrs at night, though he goes early in the day. Ben speaks to the person very briefly, then goes back to NYC. So the trip had to be 8.5-9+ hours for that snippet of info. That doesn't involve parking, eating, bathroom time, etc. Then near the end of the episode, he drives back to Syracuse, speaks to the person for under 30 seconds for no reason, then has to drive back to NYC again, another 9+ hour commute for nothing! Ben is a genius? Are they kidding? The whole round-trip drive done twice is beyond stupid.
