A little over the top, I don't think escaping jail is that easy, but what an action-packed episode to wrap up the first season. Very enjoyable.

Good conclusion to a decent series - i look forward to the next series... and really want to revisit the film now!

I liked this episode and the series, as a whole. Good central theme of where family can take us and how we might feel about it. I like how Ally feels justified in doing all of what he does throughout, and how his family just need to see the bigger picture, goddamnit! At the same time, he's lost the plot - many people have died because of him. It's insane from an objective point of view, yet subjectively, what choice has he had? I liked that tension. As a prequel (really) to Mosquito coast (the novel and film) it really sets the tone of what would happen if an idealist won't compromise after having a family - a notion many men can identify with before and after children come along I suspect. And a notion Paul Theroux exercised through writing his original novel perhaps? I also like how the son is tussling with his masculinity. He's the one most enamoured by his father's ways. It's a neat way to pull at the family and contrast how the women are far less impressed.

Good tension in this last episode too. Really enjoyed it as a finale. The last scene is a great too.

The contrast as he is smiling on the boat and his daughter is realizing the terror of the moment as their lives are falling apart.

still don't know what's going on

He used to work on NSA, invented something fancy and that's it only- it granted somewhat multiple season of this series, that actually forgot any good series started with a strong 1st season foundation. It did provide good pilot episode however it was going from top notch to Meh.

I don't know what's the deals they had with appleTV or the owners or those people, it felt like that they were making this knowing that they have all the time in the world stretching this as much as possible probably saying to all the crews 'don't worry, 5 seasons already planned'.

6/10 for this season. If season two is still like this, they deserve a 1/10. So ironic that a story trying to show how bad it is consumerism now elevating the actual consumerism even further with its run.

This is a season finale!

It was an awesome episode, I personally like the slow burn of this one and knowing that this is going into season two makes not fully knowing what they are running from easier to digest. Seriously Loved this episode.

Why was this episode called "Glass Sandwich?"

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoy this series. Interesting story, interesting characters and way more interesting than the movie of the same name. But I find some of the plot lines poorly developed. Way too many coincidences happen around this family. Having a 15-year-old drive the family car and catch up to a police car and T-Bone it?

Having some kids in Mexico City easily find this family when the City is the largest city in North America? And, when they escape in a VW Van, the bad guys easily find WHERE it was purchased, where they stopped for gas and then they guess what coast and what beach they are going to. Seems like lazy writing to further the slow burning plot line(s). If anybody can reply as to why this episode was so named, I would appreciate it.

Boring

The production quality is not to be discussed but the story is unfolding so slowly that it is better to define it not unfolding at all! I just watched 7 episodes and don't really have any idea what the show is roughly about?! I am not looking forward to the next season at all as unfortunately I wasn't able to connect to any of the characters or the story(or the lack of it).
