Never before have i seen a more realistic portrayal

The portrayal of the Corleone family had me absolutely captivated during the dinner scene. I haven't seen a version that good since 1972.

Furthermore, I continue to be amazed with Miles Teller and his ability to transform into Al Ruddy without changing his face or anything. Great performance by a great actor.

That dinner scene... Wow, one if the best scenes of the year. I had to rewind it to watch it again, just fantastic. Very solid episode, the plot is moving along at a nice pace. That really is one of the strengths of this series, it's put together really well, the editing and pacing is just fantastic. At no point have I felt like the plot was spinning its wheels, like so many other series, very little filler. It is really pleasing to watch such a tight and solidly put together story, a credit to the writing. All of those elements lead to great performances by the actors, every actor has shined. Best episode thus far.

The scene at the dinner with the assembled crew is special.

Matthew Goode continues his outstanding portrayal of Robert Evans. My least favorite portrayal, Giovanni Ribisi, as Joe Colombo, has a lot of screen time, but he doesn't ruin anything. He's just the least best performance in a stellar cast.

The corporate intrigue between parent, Gulf & Western and studio, Paramount, provides a whole different dimension to the story, as does the real-life Mafia story.

Next week. We start shooting. Maybe in multiple contexts.

Actors and roles (in 'The Offer') and again their roles respectively in 'The Godfather'

Wonderful, wonderful episode. The scene at the dinner with the assembled crew playing their parts from the 'Godfather' is something you won't want to miss, very special. Perhaps it is a little difficult to keep tracks of all the actors and roles (in 'The Offer') and again their roles respectively in 'The Godfather' (Anthony Ippolito playing Al Pacino playing Michael Corleone, Branden Williams playing Gianni Russo playing Carlo, Justin Chambers playing Marlon Brando playing Don Corleone, Maya Butler playing Diane Keaton playing Kay, Cynthia Aileen Strahan playing Talia Shire playing Connie, Nick Pupo playing John Cazale playing Fredo, Derek Magyar playing Robert Duvall playing Tom Hagen, Damian Conrad-Davis playing James Caan playing Sonny etc) but in the end, -guaranteed- you'll want to rewind it and play it again, this is how much good it is.

Best episode so far

Greetings from Lithuania.

"Kiss the Ring", a fifth episode of "The Offer" was probably my favorite so far. I did enjoy previous episodes, but this one really picked up. I loved how it have portrait producers job - on daily bases, solving problems all over the production of a movie. Other thing i loved about this episode was the dinner scene. Great scene - reminded me of some trivia i read before about making of Godfather.

As usual, acting here is great, but my favorite is without a doubt by Matthew Goode as Robert Evans - he is a stand out. Set design, costumes, make up all are great as well cinematography. Good series so far.
