Fantastic!!

DCI Sutton makes the claim for a massive team to hunt town the criminal after yet more attacks on the elderly. Sutton begins winning over the team with his plain speaking and authoritative capabilities.

I was truly expecting this four part series to dip in the middle, I was one of those who initially said, wouldn't three parts be better, totally wrong, it's getting better and better.

Easily the best episode so far, it shows you the huge resources on hand, and the lengths the team went to to catch their man.

It's a big production, it looks incredible, it's a super, well made episode.

Clunes, you really are a phenomenally talented man, huge credit for making the part so believable, and not overplaying it.

Genuinely superb drama, 9/10.

Getting better and better

I wasn't sure about Martin Clunes taking the lead for this drama (based on a true story) as to me he's a comedy actor but I've grown to really enjoy him in this role.

A dramatisation of true events which proves that fact is sometimes stranger than fiction follows the tale of Londons metropolitan polices investigation into a serial sex offender.

The show gets better and better.

Enjoyable but

The foot chase scenes really infuriated me! How was this young police officer left alone to chase the perpetrator for so long and far?? Surely there were other cops in the vicinity??? The rapist could have done anything to this poor cop. The rapist looks very fit and strong. It seems like this young cop was left vulnerable.

So far this mini-series is quite enjoyable but very heart breaking. I work in a nursing home and the elderly are so innocent and trusting. It's sad to see someone take advantage of them but especially sexually. This man is completely sick and evil. I cant wait until he is caught. I would love to know why he felt the urge to commit these types of crimes.

With a much stronger second episode. This really dipped and was a sure sign that the story could had been a three parter.

DCI Sutton makes an appeal for more funds at short notice and little preparation. Only to find out that he was knocking on an open door. It made the whole scene pointless.

There are several more harrowing attacks on old ladies, one is tension filled as the woman is on the phone to the police as the intruder enters her house.

It also leads to another near miss. A chase scene involving a policeman where no back up arrives.

It leads everything to do for the final episode. I just felt that this was superfluous.
