Harmless and relatable

A nice, well-flowing Finnish movie. As you can probably guess, the film is not really about stand-up comedy, but about the life of a 35-year-old. Personally, I identified strongly with the story and was pleasantly surprised by it.

Naurun varjolla is far from being on the list of bad films, unlike the previous reviewer felt. It's great that this has been filmed in real locations all over Finland, almost all of which have some meaning for me. I love the warm, peaceful atmosphere of the film and the performances of actors. The musical production also makes an impact. And of course, the loose stand-up -theme also works.

Okay, this is not a history-making viewing experience, but does everything always have to be so exceptional? I got a lot out of this one and in my opinion it's ridiculous to say that this would be "one of the worst movies" someone has ever seen. Perhaps such a comment says more about the number of films the author in question has seen than about the work itself?

One of the worst movies I have ever seen.

The idea is very promising - the reason why I watched this. But I made the horrible mistake not to check the IMDB rating beforehand.

The acting is kinda decent but they can't save this junior high school quality script. At high school this would be adorable and cute play, but now when they try to make it as a credible film the result is way worse than The Room. Sadly this waste of time can't even become that kind of cult classic.
