An overwhelmed Sasha has a night out and comes home tipsy to Brianna's shock. Brown and the Colonel attend an art class but to Brown's surprise Colonel is the model.
Will has a secret: He takes hush-hush salsa-dancing lessons in an effort to take Sasha out to a party, but Sasha suspects he's spending the time cheating on her. Meanwhile, the Colonel and Edna hope to leave Brown Meadows and move in together elsewhere.
When Will falls ill, his mother (Jenifer Lewis) arrives, but her old-school, Southern-style remedies are a bitter pill to swallow for Sasha. And Daisy goes missing, a development made more serious considering her declining mental state.
Accusations of blame are directed at Will when Joaquin's ex-baseball coach dies on his operating table. Meanwhile, gym teacher Reggie (Maurice G. Jones) sets out to woo Cora, but Brown doesn't feel Reggie makes the grade.
Brown and Curtis battle over who gets to play Santa as they put on a Christmas play for the children at the hospital. Meanwhile, Joaquin befriends a young boy who is sick.
A fellow doctor makes a pass at Sasha and threatens to lie about Will who is on suspension if she does not keep quiet. Brown gets a temporary job as a security guard / hall monitor at the school where Cora teaches.
Edna breaks off her engagement to the Colonel and returns to the house. In the meantime, a reinstated Will plans a celebration dinner and invites Troy (Richard F. Whiten), upsetting Sasha.
The results of Sasha's mammogram cause an odd reaction from Will. Meanwhile, the privileged and well-tended London learns about being poor after her father blocks her cash flow.
A student who is being bullied brings a gun to Cora's classroom. London is saddened when she realizes her probation is almost over and she'll be leaving Brown Meadows.
Brown secretly sets Cora up on a date through an online dating website after he starts feeling guilty about causing Russell to flee. Elsewhere, Miss Daisy gets a little help for her audition from Jesus and London but, predictably, things don't work out quite as planned
Will and Sasha's troubles run deeper in light of Will's reluctance to address the situation. In the meantime, Cora and Brown square off over a church-board post.
Cora and Reggie try to put their parents together to keep them from coming on their dates. Also Sasha regrets telling blabbermouth Renee one of Will's secrets.
Colonel Jackson tries to mediate an argument between Brown and Cora. Will and Sasha try to prove their relationship is more than just physical by giving up sex.
Brown's new neighbors may be thieves. Brown lets the police use his house for a stakeout. Brianna comes to help Sasha at the hospital and winds up befriending Renee.
Brown and Cora loan the Colonel a dollar which he uses to buy a lottery ticket. The ticket hits and everyone fights over splitting the winnings. Sasha and Renee decide to switch jobs. Sasha can't handle Renee's job, and Renee excels.
An elderly black patient refuses to be operated on by Will because he's black. Brown finds out that Cora never went to the prom. He decides to create a prom in the living room.
Derek loses his scholarship and must work at the house to earn money and he takes advantage. Joaquin likes a girl at school and thugs out when Brianna tells him girls like bad boys
Tanya (Tasha Smith) wins custody of Brianna and Joaquin---but she may be in over her head. And Brown must face the music when he breaks Edna's record player
