A pretty cool cinematic music video

Now, here's an interesting music video coming from a genre I don't like yet the experience of watching was very rewarding and unique in terms of Brazil's music videos.

Besides the pop song by Manu Gavassi and Gloria Groove, the clip is also a short film inspired by the works of Wes Anderson, so before we hit to the main purpose of hearing the song we have a fun story with the performers and actors as well such as Chay Suede and Bruno Anacleto.

In it, Manu Gavassi plays Malu, a demanding yet talent film director who presents to audiences some mandatory elements that are essential to create a successful video, and while she presents each element, all through titles that reminds us of Wes' films, she deals with problematic situations of which she reacts in a diva-like manner, very bossy to everyone around her. The ultimate problem comes when main star Manu refuses to show up to shoot the video and instead they use Malu to play Manu and perform the song.

Cool concept. And then comes the song, which has some fine lyrics and some nice beat but it didn't strike me as memorable.

The 6 minute story kept me going with many humored situations such as Gloria shamelessly flirting with Chay or when he recognises an old friend as part of Malu/Manu crew; or each time the director explains her successful elements to use in the video things go wrong but she manages to succeed. The cinematic elements makes the experience something fun and worth seeing. Thumbs up to this. 6/10.
