Mrs Wormwood and Kaagh hold all the cards, they have the scrolls and Luke, but they hadn't reckoned on Sarah teaming up with The Brig.
It's sometimes of a mixed bag I think it's fair to say, in years gone by, this would have been called a Mug's eyeful, there are so many strands, so much happening, that it doesn't really feel that any are developed to their full potential.
The best element for me was the character play between Luke and Mrs Wormwood, it really did explore their complex relationship, and maybe we got to see a slightly different side to her character. Samantha Bond was really good fun here, she delivered when the script allowed.
I grew to like Kaagh this series, I thought he was a little more serious than Strax would ever be on Dr Who, still can't say I'm a fan of the new Sontarans.
It was a joy to see Nicholas Courtney, he really did deliver, I'll say it again, such a shame we didn't see him on Dr Who alongside Tennant or Smith.
It's a shame they didn't end the series with The Trickster episode, that had everything going for it, all in all, this was good, 7/10.
