Insulting the loyal viewers

Warning: Spoilers
This edition of the series about Lamoyne Hotel in Thornhill is both screwy and screwed up. It aims at being fake-hip about kinkiness but comes off as silly.

The vignettes are built around webcasts emanating from the hotel, with ladies offering consultation and advice in the manner of an FM radio call-in show. But the key difference is that this variation on a chatroom has some viewers opting for a private session, used by the Lamoyne hostesses as a way to arrange meet-ups for "counseling" at the hotel.

Counseling means initiating lesbian sex with bicurious women. This is generally the format for the first three vignettes, as Chanel Preston dominates & manipulates malleable Jodi Taylor, exploiting the girl's fetish for stockings and lingerie, as well as India Summer doing the same for bicurious Prinzzess.

Push comes to shove when Veruca James connects with web host Hayden Night, telling her of a long-held (but suppressed) lust for her stepsister Aidra Fox. Night seems reasonable enough in trying to deal with Veruca's problem, and meeting her in a bedroom at Lamoyne, she uses the novel technique of bringing along her own sister Alice March, making incestuous love to March and involving Veruca in a threesome.

SPOILER ahead:

That's pretty screwy, but the real gimmick unfolds in the final segment. The anonymous filmmaker (presumably Dan O'Connell, head of Girlfriends FIlms) springs a 180 turn in the story, as Hayden is revealed, alongside March and another hotel colleague, busty Mindi Mink, to be cruel perverts preying on vulnerable and easily misled women seeking help.

That "twisted" plot twist has a bit of predictability about it, as throughout the show the slightly sinister side of preying on the innocent, meet-ups at a sordid hotel of prostitution, broadcast that something is amiss. The viewer is assumed to get a vicarious thrill out of the man protagonists being warped, not unlike the underlying premise for rival label Gamma's "Pure Taboo" series.

So for the final portion of the movie, we see Veruca not as a satisfied lesbian convert ready to make her move on sis Aidra but rather a basket case, taken away somewhere while the Lamoyne ladies lure Aidra to the hotel for Mink to ravage her sexually.

Fans willing to suffer through this nonsense have a bit of solace in watching real-life couple India and Prinzzess get it on. But the rest of the show is contrived and an insult to the viewer's intelligence. It's one thing to build everything around manipulating the "nice" characters but another thing to try and manipulate the audience.

Issued inexplicably as a special 2-Disk set, when in fact many Girlfriends releases have longer running times and are issued as single disks.
