An Exciting Show to Watch
Anik9922 May 2020
Money In Bank (2020) was an example of how WWE still has the capability to show improvisation and provide quality show under any circumstances. It was short (Even shorter than Monday Night RAW), cinematic and thrilling. Hope to see this kind of shows too often.

Money in the Bank

Warning: Spoilers
Well, there were plenty of worse PPVs the last year, so there's that, but this company is a mess right now.

Outside of Asuka in the Money in the Bank match there wasn't much to like here. Braun vs. Bray needed a crowd to sell that finish, but I am guessing this feud isn't over just yet.

WWE continues to experiment and reinvent itself

Warning: Spoilers
They could have just given up and put everything on hold like 90% of the sports/entertaiment industry is doing around the world these days, but they keep on fighting and delivering product - and although this PPV only features six matches (if you count the simultaneous men's and women's Money In The Bank matches as one - which I do), at least 4 of them are worth seeing. The Smackdown Tag Team Championship Fatal 4-Way is a fun opener; R-Truth vs. Bobby Lashley is a quick squash; Bayley's title defense against Tamina is predictable, and Sasha Banks is wasted as Bayley's stooge; Strowman's Universal title defense against Bray Wyatt is not nearly as innovative as Wyatt's Firefly Fun House segment with John Cena in Wrestlemania 36, but it is certainly a lot better than the match where Strowman won the title from Goldberg in that same event. Drew McIntyre's WWE title defense against Seth Rollins is a very solid back-and-forth match - and Rollins is a hypnotic speaker; the Money In The Bank matches are both very entertaining, with some wild moments, funny comic relief from Otis, and a surprise ending. I firmly believe that, when in the future we look back at these matches & PPVs, their uniqueness (as well as the hard work put in by everyone against strenuous circumstances) will be more appreciated. A 7/10 for the event as a whole.

The risk is indeed worth the reward

Warning: Spoilers
What a PPV !!! Didnt think this PPV would be this good TBH. Believe it or not the PPV was better than Wrestlemania. WWE is trying hard to put on good shows in this empty arenas. We all should appreciate it. This pandemic would be more boring if there was no wrestling. Every other sports is not happening due to this corona situation except wrestling.

The first match was Smackdown tag team championship and it was a fun match TBH. I really enjoyed it. There was no doubt that The New Day would win.

Bobby Lashley vs R-Truth felt like a filler match. R-Truth is so funny. It was a squash match. It wasnt fun but it did help Bobby. He's on a roll ever since losing at Wrestlemania.

Bayley vs Tamina wasnt bad. I knew Bayley would retain her title. Everyone kind of predicted that Sasha Banks would help Bayley to retain her title.

The Universal Championship match was awesome. It was physical and it had a good storytelling. Many people wanted Bray to win but him losing is the right result. You cant expect Braun to lose in his first defense. Now i want The Fiend to take the title away from Braun Strowman. We even saw a tease of him.

Ba gawd WWE title match was awesome. It really could have gone either way. Drew McIntyre won as we all predicted but this was certainly the match of the night. The only was missing was the fans. They would have made this match more awesome.

When i first found out that both MITB matches would start at the same time i was a bit disappointed but no. Such an entertaining match. We got to see the inside of WWE Headquarters. We saw legends as well. Undertaker's part was awesome. I think we might see another match of him vs Styles. Mr.McMahon' played a funny part as well and rest in peace Rey Myesterio and Aliester Black. I wanted Asuka to win and she did. Otis winning was unpredictable. If he is booked well it will be something to look forward to.

A Neat Reinvention Of The Titular Match
jeremycrimsonfox25 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I must admit, I never watched much of WWE even before the PG Era began (I stopped watching wrestling in the middle of 1999, which was my WCW phase). I actually got this for free because of WWE 2K Battlegrounds, and seeing this, I am impressed the WWE are thinking outside the box (especially now that they have competition in the form of All Elite Wrestling).

So, this event was originally going to take place in the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, but as everyone knows, COVID-19 happened, and when the arena cancelled because of it, WWE decided to move the two titular matches to the company's global headquarters in Stamford, with the matches before them moved to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. This change would allow WWE to implement a new gimmick to the Money In The Bank matches which is genius.

Starting with a Fatal Four-Way Tag Match between The New Day. Lucha House Party, The Miz And John Morrison, and The Forgotten Sons for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships, the matches are good. The Fatal Four-Way Tag gets a B from me as, despite the high-flying display, the match was ruined by the ejection of Jaxson Ryder (who was with The Forgotton Sons) for interference, which was a dumb call because the match was had the no disqualification stipulation, meaning he was allowed to interfere (even the commentators called the official out on the call). Some notable stinkers include R-Truth Vs. MVP, which despite R-Truth's entrance being good, as he drops a mean beat in the empty performance center and even preteding there is a crowd answering him, it suffers from a long opening and the banter of R-Truth trying to teach MVP about balling, which leads to Bobby Lashey coming and taking MVP's place, telling him to take the night off, leading to a one-sided match in Lashley's favor, and Bayley Vs. Tamina for the Smackdown Women's Championship (where Bayley, the defending champion, basically acted immature when the announcer introduced Tamina, and before the match, even got triggered by a question in an interview asking if she blames Sasha Banks, who accompanies her, for the event that caused this match to happen, as well as Tamina stopped the match to tell her how disrespectful she was). Thankfully, the matches afterwards get better, with the match between Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt for the WWE Universal Championship (as the match is basically two strong men playing mind games, and who doesn't like one of them getting support from a pig puppet), with the penultimate match, Drew McIntyre Vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship.

The Money In The Bank matches are neat because both men's and women's matches happen at once, and the wrestlers (each one having six superstars who qualified for it) starting on the bottom floor of WWE Headquarters and needing to reach their side's respective briefcase on the rooftop, something that WWE labelled "climbing the corporate ladder". This is an amazing match, as anything in the building can be used as either a weapon or something to hinder an opponent's progress, and rooms like the workout area and even hallways and offices play host to the scuffles and brawls that result from the tension of the race, and with cameos from many WWE staffers, with the victory going to Asuka (who the next on RAW, she would learn the case had no contract, but the Raw Women's Championship, as Becky Lynch vacated it to go on maternity leave ) and Otis (who would later on lose it to The Miz in the Hell In A Cell PPV). Overall, a good event.
