'' They tell me the fishing is good at Billingsgate!

Warning: Spoilers
The second 'Scotch & Wry' begins with Supercop stopping a man who has left a pub from entering his car to insist that he takes a breathalyser test. Not understanding how it works, the man asks Supercop to demonstrate it to him, which he does, only for the breathalyser to expose Supercop as the drunk driver!

A door to door salesman attempts to sell a vacuum cleaner to a man without having the faintest idea how it works. The man of the house then gives the salesman tips on how to improve his sales technique and then sells him a bunch of encyclopedias on how to do so.

A man in hospital, bandaged from head to foot is visited by a rather loud insensitive man who causes him distress by smoking in front of him, using his plastered leg to hang his hat on and just generally talking nonsense, such as telling him he got a lift to the hospital in a hearse : "It was a quiet runner, when you are sitting in the front you can hardly hear the engine, and when you are sitting in the back you can't hear anything at all!".

A guide for a historical building named 'Whippet Hall' is giving a run down to visitors of the building's history, only to be constantly interrupted by an irate man who keeps correcting him on his remarks about the Whippet family. The other visitors end up leaving in disgust. The man and the tour guide breath a sigh of relief and then sit to enjoy a game of chess together.

A man in overalls stands at a bus stop smoking a pipe. Suddenly, a group of people queue up waiting for a bus, only for the man to pick up the bus stop sign and walk off with it, leaving the people staring in bewilderment.

This week's 'Last Call' is delivered by Father Thomas Dooley, a brash Irish priest who tells us of some rather irreverent tales of his parishioners.

This second edition is a great improvement over the first. The material is more consistent and the cast look more at ease, though David Hayman is still robotic, however giving that this era was probably seeing the start of his career, I am willing to give him some leeway for that. Barbara Dickson sings this week 'Sweet Oasis'.

Funniest sketch - it would probably have to be the hospital visit sketch. This is where we really begin to see Rikki's masterery at delivery!

Second funniest sketch - Supercop failing the breathalyser test!
