The Book Without Words

Warning: Spoilers
Yamato reveals Naruto the truth about how transformation into the tailed Fox. He's shocked and wonders about the bridge, the crater in the middle of the forest, and Sakura's injury, all while he looks at her trying to ease her arm's pain. Yamato confirms everything and lectures him that he already knows that he can't control the Kyuubi's power (Jiraiya warned him), yet he gave in anyway. But the captain also says that not everything is his fault, he's the captain and was chosen to supress the Kyuubi's chakra if the transformation occurs. He also tells him to not rely on the power of the Fox, but to use his own power to save Sasuke and protect Sakura. Naruto agrees so he can avoid putting everyone around him in danger. Then, there's a little time jump, and they proceed to analyze a strategy to deal with the enemy. In the meantime, Sakura finally eases the pain completely, and checks out Sai's book, that she recovered earlier. She's surprised by the content, and this calls Naruto's attention. She calls them, and they investigate the book: they figure that it contains the story of Sai and his brother, who defeated a number of enemies and used their weapons. At the end of the book (The half), they are supposed to meet each other, but it's only showed a picture of Sai. Sakura remembers that Sai told her his brother died, and that the book is unfinished. About this part, Yamato's lecture was well written. Naruto's reaction was the expected, but still, considering how they quickly dismissed the issue, I think he didn't take the revelation so seriously. He has to be aware that his actions nearly costed Sakura's life. Yamato telling that he doesn't know if he's right in telling him the truth is crazy, he did right. I agree that Sakura wasn't the right person to tell him, but Yamato was. Also, I think that at some point, there should have been an apology from Naruto to Sakura for what happened, it could have been an honest serious conversation, including also Sasuke's issue. Sadly it doesn't exist, none of them will talk again about the events at the bridge. The good side is that Naruto recalled the incident with Jiraiya, where his sensei was seriously injured by the tailed Fox. It's implied that Jiraiya told him the truth back then, but time passed and now Naruto surely tried to avoid the possibility that he caused such damage. About Sai's story, one would expect something more interesting, but anyway, Sai's development is slow. The feeling that he may have killed so many persons is creepy, especially given Danzo's cold lessons.

But there's something more creepy. Orochimaru takes a break because Kabuto wants to clean his tools. Turns out that he has a collection of dead bodies from young people, and asks his master to give him other to replace the one he used. I know this is just an anime, but some details make the characters terrible persons. Besides, considering how Orochimaru and Kabuto end on Shippuden, I can't believe what Kishimoto did. These characters are disgusting (Don't mess with children). Leaving aside that, Sai realizes he left his book behind after Kabuto attacked him, but he chooses to hide his worries for now. Then, the group follows and reaches the hideout, an underground place with tunnels close to a desert. This is the place shown in the pilot. And at the end, they enter a room where Sasuke is waiting. But this is not the Konoha deserter, he looks like a complete different person.
