Plot ticks over well

Bosch and J Edgar continue their investigations.

This is a good police procedural episode that appears to be slow burning several arcs within the season narrative.

There are some fairly dramatic moments involving the 308 characters, but the overall plot does not move significantly in this episode. This is broken up by the subplot involving J Edgar's investigation, which is just about still holding my interest.

The character moments are as strong as ever, with the LAPD's interactions with the FBI being probably the most interesting to me. Bosch rarely plays well with others and this is another entertaining example of it.

All actors give solid, believable performances and the visuals are as strong as ever.

Failed Efforts

Warning: Spoilers
Things go a little crazy as some anti-government guys are approached concerning the missing radioactive material. What starts out as a peaceful effort turns into a harsh confrontation with one guy dead. Politics are working their way into the picture more and more. Bosch's daughter has made a curious discovery and seems to have opened some sores. Meanwhile, the wife of the guy who stole the material is being interviewed. Bosch, as usual, winks at the carelessness of the FBI agent. In the mix are the two rogue cops who overstep their bounds and pay a price.

Intense Stuff!

This episode has been the best so far; it had me on the edge of my seat throughout.

PS: I heard the original title of this episode was "You Didn't Build That", but it got changed at the last minute for some unknown reason.

Best episode of this almost-redeemable season

My overall rating of "Bosch"'s Season 6: 3/10

In this season a few of the episode titles play with D. Trump's quotes (for some reason), this being the most egregious example. I don't particularly like that, as the series mostly has a tradition of saying the episode title outloud, and I think following it gives it a specific charm.

With that said, there are a couple great scenes here, such as most of the showdown at the sovereigns' compound (although unfortunately they had to find a way to have the cop live, for "happy-end" reasons) or Edgar's dialogue with Avril. However there are also some stranger things too, especially the things to do with the FBI agents' actions/inactions and being blamed for them. The heavy stakes are felt, the craziness of the sovereigns plays off well off the cruelty and brutality of the law enforcement, and so this episode is decent enough.
