Rachel Dratch as a parole officer is a recipe for disaster. And bringing back the awful baby stuff from last season is even worse.

This show really needs to get back on track.

William H. Macy directed this episode and I can see a difference between the last few episodes and to me, it seems a lot better. The thing with me though, I seem to not notice bad writing and things like that so as long as a show has characters I like, I will probably enjoy every single episode that will ever exist.

This episode was so funny, i couldn't stop laughing at Kevin and V about the molestation by the coach story and poor Kev couldn't understand, and when V says "for 10 grand, you took it up the ass Kev", hilarious. their characters are so great.

The writers have totally changed these characters that we love and have grown with and not in the way that we all change and evolve as we get older. Lip used to be a genius building robotics and taking SATs and finding ways to scam and outsmart every person he interacted with and it's like the writers totally forgot about that. That was a huge part of his character and the basis of so many of his storylines and it is just gone and not even mentioned.. Carl used to be a sociopath which was hilarious and now he is this sweet and loving kid. I have no idea what they are doing to Liam's character but it's a mess and not fun to watch. Kev and V don't even interact with the Gallaghers anymore- they are like their own show. I miss the whole Milkovich family- they were so fun to watch and it made the Gallagher's look normal by comparison. Debbie has at least been consistently annoying.. It's just frustrating to watch these characters that we fell in love with be totally and inexplicably different and the writers seem to have abandoned who they are. Again, I know we all change as we grow but if you've been with these characters since day 1 then you know what I mean. Everything just seems forced and it's lost what made this show so great.
