Excellent Montage

In terms of the interview this episode was alright. But I want to give a shout out to the editors for the great montage where they intercut the making of the sandwich with the vintage Vespa commercial. That was really fun. This episode had some of the best editing and music choices I've seen on this series. Nicely done!

Great production but a little awkward

I agree with the other reviewer about the montage and music. It's a little piece of art and fun to watch. But I do have a little problem with Jerry's style in some episodes.

I've watched every episode through the years, and Jerry is always very honest and direct, and most of the time it works. But Sebastian is somewhat uneasy in this, and you can tell he thinks a lot about the well-being of other people. Jerry doesn't really put him at ease and you can tell he's not a genuinely nice person. When the other person has a big personality for example, the episode does work. But in this one, Sebastian doesn't really let loose partly because the way Jerry speaks to him, although it gets better at the end.

Jerry just treat everyone differently. With people that possess a higher status, like Obama, he's nervous. In this one with Sebastian he's too cocky. The episode after this one, with Martin Short, is an example of when it does work and goes smoothly. Martin is very fun and "out there" and Jerry is more kind as a result.

awkward

Strange, this is the second episode with Sebastian Maniscalco. The first episode was excellent, both Jerry and Sebastian seemed to immediately hit it off, their personalities and senses of humour played well off each other. Sebastian was in good form, really funny. However, this second episode with Sebastian is one of my least favourites out of all the episodes in all the various seasons. Sebastian seemed very constrained, not forthcoming. There was no chemistry between the two, not a lot of conversation and it just wasn't very funny. I am not sure what went wrong with this episode.
