Just answering some "awful" comments
rodriguesnahum15 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
So you guys in the comment section can take a fictional shooting on season 6, a fictional plane crash on season 8, a fictional bomb explosion on season 2, a fictional car accident on season 12 and you are blaming the show for "not being entertaining" just because they are showing a real life pandemic situation that doctors have been facing through all these months? Do you really thought that the doctors on the show would suddenly appear with masks without telling about what's really happening? Are you even serious? Maybe it's time for you stop watching the show and keep pretending nothing is happening in your Beautiful fairy tales lives. I prefer reality.

Reality sucks, but this didn't
sapwsdb14 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Yes yes yes, we all live through Covid every day. We know the reality. This episode tied together the existing story line with the reality of what medical professionals are going through. I agree we could use a break from all of it, but it is more important to try to make people more sympathetic to the reality that most of us don't get to experience. Well written and can't wait for the next episode.

Really?!?!
erginaylak22 November 2020
For all the commentators that are upset they can't escape from reality and watch greys anatomy without thinking about COVID, maybe put on some Tom and Jerry and avoid a medical drama. Wanting a MEDICAL DRAMA not to touch on the most impactful medical issue of our lifetime is not just ridiculous but stupid!

Difficult to Watch - But Needed
meltingmel26 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I watched this episode for the first time today - 9/25/22. The pandemic is still real but you wouldn't know it if you walk into a grocery store or go to a concert. We've all reached the point of accepting Covid is now a part of our lives.

To see this episode - now - almost three years into a pandemic - really hit me emotionally. I felt my stomach sink when I saw people clapping for the doctors and nurses entering the hospital - knowing that just eight months later - those people would turn on them and call them liars - not heroes.

To see the scene of having no PPE - the shortage - I remember... I started crying. This was such a real thing. I imagine as I continue with this season my emotions will continue to run high with the reminder of how intense this all was in the beginning and remind me how people have moved on now, despite how prevalent Covid still is in our world.

Don't listen to the haters. this was a great episode that has the best COVID storyline on tv that i have seen. it was amazing and set up the season in a good way. seeing what happened after the last season was great. it's good to see what doctor's have to go through in the time of COVID. the episode may have had some downs, but overall was good.

A good start to the season
enzovieiraferrari26 November 2020
The episode brings a time jump, shows the situation of the coronavirus in mid-April, and managed to close the loose ends left last season very well. my rating: 9/10

Solid but not great
sigelm13 November 2020
While on the one hand it is good that the doctors and nurses are wearing masks all the time around the hospital, a big minus are the scenes where some of the doctors are unhooking the mask from one ear and let it dangle on the other ear to be returned later over the mouth. It is very dangerous to do so with used masks and it should not be advertised in any show as an acceptable behaviour, and especially not by doctors. Some people are looking up even to TV doctors and think if it is shown in the show, then it must be okay. No, masks are to be removed carefully with both hands at the same time and immediately disposed of, then comes the handwashing.

Great insight... but weird
morganlichtel27 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Loved the insight into what doctors were going through during covid. Very real and I think the public needed to see it. I also enjoyed the flashbacks... but WHY Jo and Jackson?? And in that way?? This might be just me but I don't even like them together in any way! And Jackson is an ass!! He was an ass to Maggie and an ass to Vic and jo deserves better!!So awkward so unrealistic so frustrating. Also everyone is waiting for Teddy to get her ass handed to her but it's getting glossed over too much!!! I need to know are Owen and teddy still together? What about their kids? What about Tom? Teddy needs a good slap in the face #teamowen.

Face acting
evans-1547525 June 2021
Watching this episode made me realise how important facial reactions are to acting, felt very flat without reactions and hope they can find some way around it.

Mics exposed
danieljohnbrown-3385513 November 2021
The episode was really good I loved how they bought the pandemic into it, although I noticed when they wear the protective gear you can see the characters mics which made the show feel less real then it's meant to feel.

As if we haven't seen enough..
c_armstrong-3886013 November 2020
Yes, COVID-19 is real, we have all lived it for over 8 months but we don't need to see it in our TV shows. Yes, this is a medical show but it's fictional, we don't need to be reminded of the struggle we have experienced every day, the terror that we think about and live all the time. I hope this is the only episode because I don't think I can take the rest of this season dwelling on Covid-19 in real time. I've watched this series for 17 years and we come to these shows as a distraction, we are not ignoring it, but it would be nice to tap out for 45mins.

Awful
mitchdolman13 November 2020
People's lives have been overwhelmed with covid... we needed tv shows to escape the reality of it all. We need entertainment to take us away not bring us back in and keep jamming it down our throats. Give us entertainment and not more stress and depressing BS. Watched every season multiple times but don't think I'll be watching this one if the entire season is like this!

Predictable
tgirl698713 November 2020
It's been such a great series. If the writers would keep the politics out, it would be nearly perfect. This new episode was predictable and ridiculous. We know alllllllll about the masks, we don't need them plastered in our faces.

Some of the worst TV I have ever seen
bhvfuj14 November 2021
Flat writing. Emotionless acting. Even the set dressing looks awful. Grey's used to be sharp and incisive, but now it has all the skill of a high school play.
