Weak Storyline
adewalebanjo31 December 2023
The movie under scrutiny is a mixed bag, featuring scenes that disrupt the flow and a narrative riddled with weaknesses. The abrupt transitions between sequences create a disjointed viewing experience, hindering the immersive journey the film aims to provide. The storyline, unfortunately, lacks the depth needed for a compelling narrative arc, leaving viewers with unfulfilled expectations. While attempting to infuse a year 2000 storyline for nostalgic appeal, these elements feel sporadic and forced, contributing to the overall disjointedness. Viewers express a sentiment of wasted time, as the film fails to justify the investment of their attention. Despite visually stunning scenes and standout performances, these positive aspects are overshadowed by the film's overarching issues, ultimately leaving audiences dissatisfied with the lack of coherence and substance in the narrative.

Rushed ending
tch-7296323 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Too much time was spent on trying to marry the Keme to Wende, then the unnecessary kidnapping with no consequences or trauma to Lola. The ending with Keme and Lola's marriage was less than eight minutes.

It's a very nice movie, deserves more publicity. Good choices of actors and no unnecessary scenes.

Refreshingly good movie

I enjoyed the layers in the plot of the movie and the honest critique of Africa's wealthy politicians & affluent families.

Almost Made it Higher

This is a good movie with Christian themes, but not overly preachy. The only reason I didn't rate it higher was because I feel that the ending was a bit rushed and tied with a bow. A major problem was shrugged off and swept under the rug to make way for the ending... I would have a more realistic resolution.
