"Macho Man" Randy Savage Vs Hugh Morrus

Macho wins with two elbow drops from the top. Macho's intensity saves this match from being a total disaster. For the most part it's slow and hard to watch, but when Macho cranks up the intensity, it's pretty hard to totally hate it.

*1/4

Gene Okerlund does a brief interview with race car driver, Steve Grissom.

Loch Ness Monster (W/Jimmy Hart) Vs Scotty Riggs

Yes, there really is a wrestler by this name in WCW. He's very reminiscent of Haystacks Calhoun. Loch Ness kills Riggs dead with two big elbow drops. Riggs didn't stand a chance!

DUD

Miss Elizabeth and Woman come out with a gurney. It turns out, it's Ric Flair underneath some covers in a suit with the WCW title in hand. You can tell Ric is feeling it, because he's all over the place. If you're familiar with Flair's style, you'll know what he had to say. Elizabeth says she was sick of being in Savage's corner for 7 years and not being able to utter one word. When they split up, Elizabeth got half of everything, but at Superbrawl, she got it all. She says the WCW title is the most important thing to Randy.

Thoughts: Elizabeth is a natural babyface like Sting and Ricky Steamboat. She isn't very good at playing the heel. Flair was fun, though.

United States Championship

Konnan (C) Vs "Dangerous" Devon Storm

Devon Storm is also known as Crowbar from WCW. Konnan wins with a variation of a powerbomb from the top. Eric Bischoff actually described this match very aptly. It was like a car crash. It had many high- flying spots, but very little substance.

*1/4

Hulk Hogan Vs Arn Anderson (W/Woman)

Flair comes down during the match to support Anderson. During the match, Woman throws salt in Hogan's eyes, allowing Flair to give Anderson the WCW title behind the ref's back. Anderson drills Hogan with it and gets the shocking pin on Hogan.

*3/4

Thoughts: I'm always happy when Hogan loses, even though it wasn't a clean loss. Hogan didn't put many people over in his career, but Arn deserves it. The match itself wasn't bad.

Ric Flair takes over the announcer's table and brags about the Horsemen having Hogan's number and stealing Savage's women. Anderson says he just beat the unbeatable Hogan and he'll prove he can do it again. Hogan and Savage run over and chase Flair and Anderson away. Hogan says he accepts Anderson's challenge for next week. Savage says next week is gonna be "Helter Skelter" Hogan says Savage will get the alimony and everything else back next week because it's no more "Mr." nice guy.

This episode was pretty underwhelming. Hogan and Savage vs Flair was getting incredibly stale at this juncture, considering Hogan had feuded with Flair on and off since his debut in WCW. Hogan was really ruining WCW at this point. Ironically, he'd be the reason wrestling became revitalized.

SuperBrawl Fallout

The first match is Randy Savage versus Hugh Morris. Gene Okerlund interviews Steve Grissom, who apparently drives the WCW race car. Scotty Riggs takes on Loch Ness (known as Giant Haystacks in the UK). Gene Okerlund interviews Ric Flair, Woman and Elizabeth. Konan faces the debuting Devon Storm. The main event is Hulk Hogan versus Arn Anderson. Pretty good episode.
