Linda Hunt intensely curious fox only a tiny glimpse at lodge

I watch so many foreign films and art films that it's sometimes very nice to watch something that required no thinking at all--something you can just kick back to and relax. That's why I found it nice to watch this installment of "Nature"--"Christmas in Yellowstone".

As you'd expect, most of this film is devoted to watching the various animals as they spend the winter in Yellowstone National Park. In particular, you get to see wolves, foxes, coyotes, otters, bison and geese. You also get to see a mother bear sleeping. None of this came as a huge surprise, but it was filmed very nicely and it was lovely to see these animals in the snow. Additionally, you get to meet a guy who loves the park and even sleeps out in the snow in his down-filled sleeping bag. There also are BRIEF shots of the lodge and ends showing the way locals in Jackson Hole celebrate with torches...yes, torches.

All in all, a lovely video--relaxing, beautiful and fascinating.

Nature lovers, this is a must see

I don't think I have ever seen a documentary video that made me want to be in a location as much as this one. I don't think I could ever camp out in the winter at a place like Yellowstone, (I know, I'm a wuss. LOL.) But I don't need to as long as I have this video to watch! The soundtrack, the narration and the video footage of the park and wildlife is all absolutely stunning. It really transports you there. The scenes of the park at Christmas are breathtaking with the colored lights on the snow. The lodge looks SO inviting, warm and cozy. The wildlife footage is something you may never see in your lifetime. This documentary is highly recommended viewing for any nature lover!

Simply Beautiful
A beautifully natural look at life at Yellowstone. For years after it's first airing it would re-aired at Christmas time. I'm not a winter girl but I really want to spend a Christmas there. PBS needs to revive this each holiday. Beats the heck out of most holiday movies. Love this one.
