Nick of time (and more Nita time) for Nick and Nora.

What is scene stealer Nita Talbot was. Whether the wisecracking friend of Debbie Reynolds in "Bundle of Joy" or the lusty Russian spy on "Hogan's Heroes" or the eccentric fashion designer who designed Luke and Laura's wedding on "General Hospital", she was always a delight, campy and funny and one of the first female drag queens on screen, doing an outrageous Bette Davis as Elizabeth I on "GH". In her recurring role on "The Thin Man", she was a seductive con artist always with her eye on Peter Lawford's Nick yet never a threat to Phyllis Kirk's Nora who couldn't help but find Talbot amusing. In this episode, she's escaped from a women's detention center, convinced that there's a drug ring going on in prison and thinking that her life is in Jeopardy. Of course, the matron (Geraldine Wall) seems too nice to be true, and when Nick and Nora find her in their apartment, they feel they must help her or at least prove her wrong. With police detective Jack Albertson on her trail, she's bound to get caught, but then again, are being caught could also result in other crimes being brought to Justice. A very funny episode stolen by Talbot, and if you can do that with Asta around, you can do that with anybody.
