I'm stunned at how poor the viewing figures were for this originally, it's weird, I wonder if people didn't like the feel of the show, as it had changed, or if it was due to the transmission date or such, but people missed out on an exceptional episode.
I'm so glad they made the decision to return Geoffrey Beevers in the role of the Master, he was wonderfully malevolent and sinister, such a creepy countenance.
The writing is excellent, it's such a complicated story, but its. Produced in a way that makes it easy to follow. I love how they kept a sense of mystery, keeping the identity of the Melkur hidden for so long.
Great performances yet again, Ruskin, Ainley etc. All good, but now it's Geoffrey Beevers that I'm watching.
It's just brilliant overall. 9/10
