Going Bananas

A better opener than the first episode aided by Bruce Forsyth's Slinger getting to do some better jokes and how can he fail if the material is decent.

Slinger is confronted by a brazen shoplifter who turns out to be his ex wife.

It was an attempt to see him so she can get alimony out of him.

Meanwhile the shop staff are in a frenzy as they have seen a giant spider in the fruit and veg display. Only Fred is brave enough to take it on. Well he was Superman's understudy.

Works mainly because of Slinger's one liners.

Better than episode one.

A shoplifter causes a major surprise for Slinger, whilst the drive for more Union members continues on the front line.

Better, I still think you'd be hard pushed to say this was particularly good, but it was watchable, and a definite improvement over the first episode.

Forsyth was definitely improved here, I'm not sure if it was him or the script, but I did definitely think he was better. I quite liked the scenes where he encountered his ex wife, he certainly bounced off her well.

Mr Christian was a little bit cringe here.

Not great, but better, 5/10.
