A true hero and his fascinating response

This was Jim Garrison's right of reply over NBC News White Paper, a critical report made to discredit Garrison's investigation on the assassination of president Kennedy. In case you're lost, Mr. Garrison was the only man who ever went to trial prosecuting people related with JFK's murder. But this would only happen two years after this video.

In 27 minutes, he exposes his opposition to the Warren Commission report that Lee Harvey Oswald was the man who killed Kennedy; points out that a conspiracy was what killed JFK so that government officials and agencies could carry on with their war business in Asia. He clashes against his critics (NBC included!), which only saw what they wanted to see, not doing their job in investigating more about the issue, and printing facts without verifying with testimonies, or even distorting the facts. He compares the murder as a fairy tale, which people easily believed that a lonely shooter killed the president and people accepted as the official story because that's what media told them and they only publish the truth. Not the case, and he even presents us the magic bullet theory, which is another indicative that more than one shooter participated in the killing.

Those who only know the character played by Kevin Costner in Oliver Stone's "JFK" will find strange watching the real Garrison, a quite sinister figure of towering 6'0 foot, a giant occupying the tiny set designed for his comments. Yet despite many contradictions about his figure and sometimes even in his speech delivery, almost monotone at times, he manages to convince us that something was very wrong in Dallas, November 22, 1963, and that a conspiracy was plotted against the president. I don't know much about what was included in the NBC's White Paper report but what I do know is that Mr. Garrison makes a remarkable defense, exposing the truth behind the many lies related with this case and he deserves plenty of credit in taking all the risks he took.

And we also need to give some credit to his attackers, NBC, for allowing Garrison's response and for giving him a proper time to deliver everything he needed to say. I bet this would be edited down or he would only have a small amount of time to make his statement on a live broadcast. Wise decision made by the network and which end up giving some credibility to the, at first, victim of their false claims and helped him in going forward with his investigation.

Here's an important document from U.S. history, very appealing to history fans and conspiracy theorists, it sure does gives them plenty of good reasons to believe in those. 9/10
