While crime thrillers are not usually my preferred genre, I have to say that this episode was an excellent example of how to do it just right, while appealing to the wider masses. The storyline is near-flawless and the light-hearted humour is hilarious at times..."it's so close that I can almost taste it" ... Funny on so many levels

One of the best episodes of the SpongeBob SquarePants series!

Warning: Spoilers
(INCLUDES SPOILERS)
Honestly, man, The Smoking Peanut is one of the most intriguing episodes of any TV series ever made. A childish and hysterically funny intrigue (in the most innocent, sweet and tender way). A conspiracy chiller. It has some clever twists and the end. Oh, my God! Who would've thought that the man who made cry the clam was... Well, I will give you one clue only: one of the most popular characters of the series. I know that this sounds like a neo-noir thriller movie review. But the episode is a neo-noir-cop thriller. The investigator Patrick and the scared suspect SpongeBob. This is like an old 40's conspiracy thriller. It is very well written, very original and clever. I'm telling you this is a real nail-bitter (ha ha) comedy.
Verdict: A nail-bitter-heart-stopping (yeah, sure, huh?) intrigue. A short and comedic (childish) thriller that should not be ignored.
What the HELL am I saying?! A CLASSIC!
