Warning do not read unless seen episode.
At this point things have just gone from bad to worse. I'll admit I was really concerned about how things were going, it was one of those rare things you see but like with the Rebels in "Empire Strikes Back" it's not something we want to admit but it doesn't make it less of a reality where for once the good guys actually lose.
Part four not just stands out because it introduced Scorpina but it has one of the best zord battles in my book. Though I'll admit it's a bit of an inconsistency as the Megazord has sometimes operated in the evening and yet it has to rely on solar power? Let alone wouldn't they be equipped with auxiliary and emergency power in an event like this? But other than that it was a really cool battle as we saw the Megazord not just fight one but two super sized foes at the same time both Goldar and Scorpina whom in her monster form lets just say is the last person you'd want to ask on a date.
We just see the Rangers just struggling as they are just exchanging blows left and right against the two, while under the ticking clock of the sun going out from an eclipse. And for a while in the battle it looks like the Rangers are turning the tables.
But suddenly there is a third player in the game which is the Green Ranger super sized. Just seeing him again let alone super sized I knew the Rangers were in deep crap now; so it's now three against one. And of course the Rangers are giving it there all but it's just not enough all three of them pulverize them.
It then comes down to a heart sinking moment when we see the Rangers ejected from the Megazord and then we all witness each of the Zords being destroyed and worst of all hope itself; at that point I just wasn't sure of anything and in the words of Hudson "Game over man, game over." We then see their are just demoralized, each of them are just at the lowest point of their lives. Except for Jason whom still is holding on to hope, I really like that speech he gives about the importance of fighting on. But unfortunately it just doesn't work, just like the zords their all broken. And in the end they all get a rude awakening to the identity of the Green Ranger.
