I always hated that Jake and Jenny got together on the same episode that was Jenny's last episode. I thought they would have made such a great couple. Have a family on California Dreams and a band made the show a very different format for Peter Engel.
I understand wanting to make the show diverse and they could have still done that. Since Sly's cousin was adopted, he could have been a person of color (Asaian, Latinix, or other). Tiffany's family could have accepted a foreign exchange student.
