Melanie Mayron, who played Melissa Steadman in Thirtysomething, turns her skills to directing, as she directs Going Limp.
This episode is very memorable, as it focuses on Elliot Weston, played by Timothy "Sneakers" Busfield. In this episode Elliot is appointed to direct a commercial. At first Elliot approaches this with enthusiasm and confidence. But when his kids ask him what a director does, he starts to lose his mojo and insecure. I can imagine this is how every first-time director feels, and well done to Melanie for directing this fine episode.
Melanie make a cameo appearance in this episode. I admire people who can act and direct in the same film or TV episode.
