A few too many plot elements were kind of left astray in this Virginian story as
Trampas is dragooned into helping an experimental ranch to rehabilitate convicts
on parole. The project is headed by William Windom himself a lifer. It is most
bitterly opposed by US Marshal John Dehner. It doesn't help that Windom was in
jail for killing a US Marshal.
Doug McClure is the only Virginian regular in this episode. There were a lot of things put in this story that were left unresolved in the end. In many ways the episode makes no sense.
