Kirk's dreams are realized when Leslie agrees to go out with him. He goes completely over the top. But who should show up but the grandma who raised him. Ruth Gordon stars. The whole thing is a bit sad and doesn't bring about the laughs. Tom Poston is really the best part of this episode, even though he is only on camera for a couple minutes. Can you say pork chops?

Kirk's outspoken grandmother arrives for a surprise visit when Leslie finally agrees to go on a date with Kirk.
This is an OK episode, Gordon supplies a few laughs with some of her comments. She ruins the date when Leslie admits she is not in love with Kirk. Martin Ferrero (later on Miami Vice) has a funny bit as a waiter. Funniest moment is when George finds out the pork chops Joanna made is a pig he had known personally.
