This episode opens with a shot of the various beautiful people sunning themselves on the beach before following one woman; it turns out that she is down from New York hoping to find work, and as luck would have it she is spotted by somebody who thinks she would fit in at his modelling agency. Of course that is just a front and it isn't long before she is in the world of top end prostitution. She doesn't seem to mind though; he keeps her supplied with cocaine and beautiful clothes. Soon afterwards another woman arrives in Miami looking for her; this woman is her sister Valerie, a New York cop and old flame of Tubbs. When they finally track down her sister she isn't too keen to leave her new life but when she is finally persuaded to things get far more dangerous.
While the subject matter and the conclusion of this episode were pretty dark some humour was injected into the situation by Switek and Zito who posed as bug exterminators to enter a party and photograph everybody; Michael Talbott and John Diehl do well in what are essentially light relief roles. Guest star Pam Grier does a fine job as Valerie; portraying the elder sibling desperate to help her sister... she even manages to make the '80s 'big hair' look good!
