"And mine's black!"
Rrrobert21 January 2020
Mary joins the 'Big Sister' program to mentor a delinquent girl. Sue Ann, in line for an award, promptly joins too as it will help her chances of winning.

Mary has a few awkward dealings with her girl, sarcastic shoplifter Francie (Mackenzie Phillips) while an enthusiastic Sue Ann goes crazy befriending and assimilating into the culture of her girl Celestine (Tamu Blackwell), who's black. When money goes missing at the office Mary vacillates about asking Francie while Sue Ann dives right in to discover what happened.

It is all pretty funny and breezes along nicely. Lou is offscreen much of the time with a toothache leaving Mary in charge and dealing with the purchase of a helicopter.

Mary Tries to Save Someone
Hitchcoc25 February 2017
McKenzie Phillips, a young actress who first appeared in "American Graffiti," plays a tough young girl who Mary tries to mentor in the Big Sister's program. This girl is a shoplifter (apparently, to be part of this program, you need to have gotten in trouble). Sue Ann in a funny counter, is mentoring a young black girl. This causes some really funny bits as she tries to be a part of this girls culture. One day, while Mary's girl is in the office, she steals money from Murray's desk from a football pool. Mary, in her wishy washy way, can't bring herself to be tough. The results are quite funny.
