This is a game changing and seminal episode of Magnum, P. I., and it really gets to the heart of Hawaii. Anyway, here Higgins is at the center and he helps out three criminal adolescents on a remote island, and things run amok. It reminded me of Deliverance, Southern Comfort, Turkey Shoot, and Limbo, all movies that deal with isolation and outliers running amok. The only thing missing was a pig squealing.
This was a mature episode and we see the whole gang (sans Rick) helping out each other to avoid an ending like Deliverance. The seventh season of Magnum is quite sublime at times for sure I guess.
