Ted Lange has a writing credit on the 'Starmaker' segment. Isaac is after a famous agent, expecting that the man will make him a star. The Pointer Sisters are maids on the ship. Isaac gets the idea that they could sing backup for him. I'm so excited. (Somebody forgot the ceiling on Isaac's room in this scene.) David Hasslehoff is back, this time as an old friend of Julie. 'There's nothing going on. Just friends,' she tells Vicki. But they quickly fall back in love together. Julie's unhappy that he's still chasing that football dream. (I'm just happy Julie has a subplot. It's been a while.) Louis Nye is terrified of the water. 'Remember that night at the movies. I had to walk out on Jaws. I had hives.' He's here with fiance Audra Lindley. Jason Hervey is a kid on the Lido deck. One day he would date Missy Hyatt. I tell you, the sight of baby Jason Hervey in a life jacket could melt any heart. On Kafka's Love Boat Scale, this episode gets 2 1/2 * out of a possible 4 *.
