Doc Holliday, in town to meet a young lady, has to defend himself in a card game which goes wrong. The man, Treb Cates, who shot Doc in the back and whom Holliday killed in self-defense has a father and two brothers of equally repugnant reputation and they are unhappy about the new developments. Troop visits the Cates family to explain and try to dissuade them but fails. Troop then holds Holliday in jail while awaiting the stage and the arrival of angry Cates kin seeking revenge
Solid episode with a fine performance by Adam West - the best Batman in my book - and it's quite a tense tale with the characters believable in their meanness. The Cates are an ornery bunch who never back down and Doc Holliday is stubborn, plus he has an appointment with a lady! A lady, indeed. Quite a surprise there.
