Honey and the Firebug

Warning: Spoilers
Honey and Sam are out to find an arsonist behind a string of warehouse fires.

As my rating would indicate, The Flame and the Pussycat is just okay. It's a mix of both good and bad. The good: the action filled opening sequence, Honey in her sleek black cat-burglar outfit, and some good lines for Aunt Meg. The bad: the arsonist is way too easy to spot, there's too much plot with too little time, and unrealistic studio fire scenes. Like I said, it's a mix of good and bad. One more thing in this episode's favor is increased screen time for Ken Lynch and his recurring Lt. Barney Keller. It's always nice to see him in an episode.

In this edition of Name That Character Actor, we have Sean McClory. If you dig through his 142 acting credits, you'll find gems like The Quiet Man, Them!, and what seems to be every television show made in the 60s.

The Flame and the Pussycat

There has been arson attacks on some warehouses. Honey and Sam are determined to catch the arsonist.

They hope to get business from the insurance company paying out on phony claims.

The opening scene has the arsonist getting away from Honey and Sam as he starts a fire.

Honey later returns, taking a gamble that the warehouse owner was in on it. Looking for an insurance payout.

There is a really good fire sequence in the opening segment.

The story has a twist that is not hard to figure out. Honey makes a quick recovery from her knock on the head.
