Capt. Fomento arrives at Convent San Tanco during their monthly old clothes drive claiming they are in violation for not applying for a fundraising license. Sister Bertrille hits Carlos up for his new sports coat. She tells Fomento about a fictional stolen ashtray ring in Carlos' casino to get his attention off the convent. After the casino is raided, Carlos sets out to move his casino to San Felipo. Fomento continues his crackdown and the sisters plot to have the convent condemned so Carlos will feel they need him.
