The second Peter Mark Richman stepped onto the screen, I knew he had to be this week's baddie on "The FBI". That's because during the 1960s-70s, he practically always played evil people on TV...much like other actors such as John Colicos, Michael Ansara and Sid Haig.
It turns out Richman is playing a terrorist named Maury Maddock. Maddock, it seems was a POW during the Korean War and the communists turned him into one of their agents. His job is to sabotage things down at the port....and Maddock doesn't seem to mind who he kills along the way. Oddly, however, despite Maddock being a cold-blooded guy, his wife is a sweet Japanese lady--and she has no idea her hubby is a swine...and Erskine is loathe to tell her and thereby break her heart.
This is a very good episode....and it's nice to see Erskine playing such a decent guy in this one. Very compelling...and a bit sad as well.
