Charles Bronson. He WAS the show! His playing "the animal" was perfect for the part.

Warning: Spoilers
I just watched The Animal ( Season 1 episode of the FBI) on Tubi, It offers up Charles Bronson as Earl Clayton in the nastiest performance I have ever seen from him. Here he plays an escaped murderer, who enjoys killing people ( unlike the other four inmates who escaped with him), There is one scene where one of the inmates was telling a story about a cougar and how unlike other animals it enjoys killing. The evil smile from Bronson's face speaks violumrs about how he identified with the animal. There is another scene Spoilwhere he and another criminal were holding 4 hostages in a motel, and Bronson was talking about setting the hostages free so he could hunt them down like animals. There is also a sub plot comparing Bronson who was in the military stockade as well as a career criminal to 1: One of the criminals who actually saved lives. 2:The motel owner who was a war hero, and 3: One of the guests who gets severely hurt by Bronson defending his wife. She admitted "I did not know he really cared" (they were having marital problems). Spoilers Ahead: Does Bronson get his from Lew Erskine (Series Star Efrem Zimbalist Jr)? Of course he does. But here Erskine ( like the others) puts himself on the line in a way that even his fellow FBI agent calls "Suicide" ( allowing himself to be taken hostage) to save the people inside. Don't miss this episode. Especially if you are a Charles Bronson fan.
