A frustrating break for the story, but funny nonetheless

I'm surprised that I kind of liked this episode because it's exactly what this series does not need at this point. The story is utterly inconsequential, which is more grating than usual because something crucial has just happened, there's a lot of humor and pretty much no action. The whole thing hearkens back to the antics from the first season, with small digimon villages and random home appliances appearing out of nowhere, but this style doesn't play to this season's strengths, so that's a problem. The one thing that prevents this one from being a disaster is the entertaining digimon couple, Jijimon and Babamon. Their strange married couple dynamic is something that this show hasn't seen before, and their antics are much funnier than I expected. It's also kind of heartwarming to see how genuinely grateful they were to have guests. Too bad the final 8 minutes or so throws that out the window, especially when they became too enthusiastic about making Kazu and Kenta fight.
