Jack and Jen is hands-down the greatest (platonic) relationship of the show, at it all starts here. I don't know what writer had the idea to pair them together, but bless them for it. Later in the show, they call each other soul mates, and I couldn't agree more.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. We only get a little hint of their bond here.
Yet again, Andie and Pacey steal the show here. Pacey breaking down over not being able to help Andie is tragic, yet realistic. Your SO can't "fix" your mental illness, no matter their age. As much as we're primed to hate Andie's father, he is right to have her hospitalized. I'm glad that Andie and Jack come to understand this as well.
