Giving Del a daughter he didn't know about is a risky move for the show. I mean, it'll be great if it becomes a running story for the rest of the shows run, as well as giving the sometimes underused Eric Lutes something to do, other than be in a B story with Charlie. But this show isn't really one for keeping other threads going (just look at the quick demise of the Annie/Seth relationship recently), so we'll have to see.
Nevertheless this is a good episode of the show, and one that is interestingly quite light on Caroline. I liked the heart it had, and think its great that the writers are open to having realer moments along with the comedy.
